Life as a writer can be hard. Of late, I’ve returned to my business background to keep the wheels turning financially, but it occurred to me last year that I can still write…it just needs to be a little every day.

While revelling in the beauty of low tide in Carantec during a well-earned break, a thunderbolt struck.

Just listen to the rhymes of nature.

That’s when Rhyming Heart was born, and over the last six months I’ve grabbed every spare moment to put my thoughts on paper. What I’ve found is much more than expected, because exploring short-form has resulted in a poetry book and new found freedom.

Today I’m just writing a simple introduction – a placeholder of sorts while I finish building my website – but here’s what you can expect in 2025.

  • Poetry, both on this site and through published books
  • Illustrated children’s books
  • A creative classroom
  • Switch Off Tune In: Useful techniques to calm your mind through creativity
  • Take Five Words: Creative prompts for adults and children alike

It’s early days, but I look forward to sharing with you as I embark on this long overdue project which I hope will see me through the rest of my life.

Thanks for reading, apologies for the brevity!

Best wishes

Emma
