Another day, another poem.
You’ll notice I’m sharing both an image from the book as well as the text in the body of my posts. Well let’s be honest…it’s for selfish reasons.
I’ve been writing books for ten years, and it’s only now that I’m thinking twice about it. I hope that by sharing my own poetry here on my website it will in some way minimise the risks of it being plagiarised.
Please, by all means share. Because if you don’t, my passion will remain at my desk; without your support my words won’t reach those who might perhaps gain comfort from them.
Today, it’s Theft.
Theft
And upon reflection
it's not the absence of those departed
that brings me down today
It's know that I've let things pass
wasted time, moments discarded
when everyday there's joy to be found, just look.
For so long I've sought distraction
through tech, and tears, and sleep
ashamed that I travelled too far
avoidance by my side
that crafty wolf
Stole Time.
